Unite Union's Blatant Hypocrisy Exposed In Sky City Inferno

Image
The Unions have been all hot under the collar yelling at SkyCity's responses to the fire.  As per the normal they are criticising left, right and centre. The Unite Union claimed workers health was in danger. They organised a strike and claimed workers were being "muzzled". The water alarmists told us that the water was polluting the harbours and all wildlife was in danger .   Yet - hello - the fire was in all likelihood caused by one of maybe their members being bloody useless at his job. What to do with that worker? Oh yes they want a safe space for him, a hug and even anonymity.  The Herald called the whole thing a "glitch". Good grief. Yet when the CEO of any company oversees multi million dollar losses, disruption to lives and economic calamity they (the Unions and the media) want the CEO named, shamed, humiliated, run out of his/her job, the country and commence a campaign to ruin them. A teenager - possibly an apprentice

MEGA - Make English Go Away

Image
No I do not mean the rugby team, I mean Bill.  Now a socially conservative justice warrior. These hats have caused an outrage on Trade Me.  I propose that we now need a MEGA hat to make Bill English do likewise. Mock Helen Clark all we like for hanging around NZ politics like a bad smell, but at least she has successfully carved out a real life niche leading the socialists and woke around the world, troughed from a new tax-free source of endless funds and disappeared for longer periods of time. I had to stop my pen from shaking voting for National while Bill English was leader and it is my enduring memory of John Key that I will never forgive him for.  Bailing on us and leaving Bill English as leader of the National Party. He was and always has been electoral poison outside the most loyal of National voters.  His primary role of usefulness is counting beans and doing a budget.  He needed to stay in that lane. While National leader, English had to restrain his h

Sonny Bill Williams Claims Maori and Pacific Island Players Are Not Trying Hard Enough

Image
SBW didn't say, as the NZH leads with, that Steve Hansen's replacement should be a Maori or Pacific Islander, he just said a member of the coaching "system" should be.   What he did say was far more worrying than that. "One thing that I'd probably put to the NZRU, [is that] it would be good to see a Pacific Islander or a Māori in the coaching system that would have a bit of influence. "The way that the game's going and it is today, there's a lot of island boys, a lot of Māori boys that play for the All Blacks, and I'm just thinking how we can get the best out of those boys. "I know that there's a bit of space there for that growth. Cool.  It is forgivable he didn't come out and endorse Ian Foster but what SBW is saying is that Maori and Island players are not playing or trying their best in the current structure because they don't have someone of the same race to understand their feelings. Are t

Review - The Brighton Miracle

Image
I do not know if it has released in New Zealand but there is no point in fully reviewing this movie other than to say I doubt very much the All Blacks watched it. They appeared to be too busy on social media and in vulnerability groups talking about their feelings, and of course respecting Allah with splinters from the bench. All I can say is that it is a must see for NZ rugby fans to see precisely how under Eddie Jones, we got dicked by the Poms.  If he did to the Poms who are a proper rugby playing nation with actual depth of talent, what he did to the Japanese...... I haven't seen the Dan Carter movie (the pirated site I watch on hasn't even bothered copying it) but considering he is one of the most boring men in rugby and with it Chasing Great struggled to portray the perfect life of Richie McCaw in anything but the same way, I need not bother. At least we know Richie would have watched the movie immediately and worked out a strategy in his mindset around

Another Game I Will Never Watch Again

Image
The day after however this does not feel nearly as bad because for the whole 80 minutes we never looked like winning that game.  Add in another 15 mins for the haka. There is zero point analysing the match or why we didn't win.  You could assume the only time we beat England was to the team bus but even then I suspect various members of the squad were still huddled in their "vulnerability group" in the changing rooms talking about their feelings. We just have to pray now that the All Blacks change their stance on eligibility rules and let Warren Gatland take over as coach and build on what we have by going back a bit and starting again.  I fear Scott Robertson will do to All Black rugby what Robbie Deans did to the Australians. No doubt the fact Kieran Read and Steve Hansen are retiring anyway will ensure we do not have a similar bloodbath as in the past however if Jacinda Ardern needed to actually have an inquiry led by a QC into a campaign and wha

Free Hit Friday

Image
I know I am a right wing blogger but this really is a free hit. Chinos and a CARDIGAN. And the use  bastardisation of "reckons". Only Vernon Small could possibly think you have sartorial elegance.  Mrs Clark must want to throw that bloody thing into the basket for the homeless.  The Speaker of the House has an eclectic unusual dress sense for occasion, but that cardy would not make the cut for insulating his dog kennels. You are on the best part of $300,000 a year.   Start acting like it.

Rugby World Cup Semi Final Preview - Republishing Aussie C***

Image
The meek would inherit the earth and the Canberra Raiders would be awarded the NRL premiership. And New Zealand would defeat England and go on to win the Rugby World Cup, as karmic payback for what happened at Lord's in July. Yes The day before the Cricket World Cup final I took delivery of the Rugby World Cup jersey ordered at Oxford St Adidas and this happened right at the new Mondrian Sea Containers right above my prepared kit for the final at Lords the next day.  A bird shat above it.  I am still too upset to write about that day.  What could have been easily the best day of my life (as I treasure winning the Cricket World Cup final well above a rugby one) turned into one of the most disappointing. South Africa will probably box-kick their way to the World Cup final despite not having beaten one top-shelf opponent, and in fact having lost to such an opponent (New Zealand) on the only occasion they were tested. Yes But if it turns out that there is no justice, w

The Laundromat Review

Image
Having watched The Laundromat I needed to think about how to review a movie containing a plot line with a  box of 2009 Dom Perignon when the vintage was not released until 2017, the year AFTER the Panama Papers.   The drinking notes have it best consumed 2019-2034.  There is a scene in the pool where Nikki Minaj's Starships plays, that was released in 2012.  It is all very chronologically twisted.  Let us forget about the release date of the Happy Plug gold earphones..... In the same part of the movie with the same characters, bearer shares were being discussed as a settlement for keeping ones mouth shut for sexual indiscretion when in 2017 bearer shares were immobilised or straight out outlawed. In Seychelles that was spoken of, bearer shares were actually abolished in 2014 least of all for a bank account with HSBC Geneva. Not going to happen.  Most of this was cleared up well before the Panama Papers broke. Yes it is JUST a movie. And very American, and this explains why fa

The Nice Caring Left

Image
Those of us on the right learn quickly of the absolute rubbish that are sanctimonious claims that the left has a monopoly on caring and is all sweetness and kindness. Two examples popped up today and smacked viewers in the chops. The first from Jacinda Ardern, Princess of Sanctimonious Niceness.  It seems that she once when she did not rely on her kind mantra, was actually less than kind about Australian National Treasure Alan Jones. Thank god he didn't lose his radio show for what he said about her.  Because she didn't lose her job about what she said about him.  Far from it.  I don't care how long ago it was, because when a member of the political right say something the left trace back to the first dump you took unannounced in a disposable nappy, to prove how "nasty" we are and with it how kind they are. New Zealand deputy prime minister Winston Peters was quick to jump to his leader's defence and described the tweet as out of char

Social Media Euphemisms Explained

Image
This last month I have been deep in ankle rehab consisting of at least three hours a day of physical activity that did not include much by the way of alcoholic beverages (other than understandably an afternoon on it as a form of sedative when the AB's played the Boks).  To get me through physical torture I read in my downtime. Which as anyone who knows me well can attest to, when I am committed to it, I devour literature very quickly.  Because I needed some aggression to get me through the training this month I have devoted myself to some KYC KYE or Know Your Enemy and have read a lot online and in published form about the political left lib tards erals. The Rachel Stewart Column That Was Too Hot For Granny Herald To Handle

Image
Granny has decided to not publish a column of Rachel Stewart's.  She showed a principled approach and quit the gig.   The Daily Blog has posted this column and I encourage all blogs defending free speech to do likewise.  Stewart over the years has developed into an excellent columnist, despite some rabid trips off the reservation.  This one was  in response to more gutlessness at New Zealand Universities to cancel free speech and ban yet another speaker.  They have caved in to the social justice woke wankers on Twitter and social media due to health and safety reasons.   This has to stop.  I do not particularly agree with everything that the canned speaker Megan Murphy has to say and I definitely am not much of a fan other than her sensible comments that women should not be competing in sports against people who were once men but we cannot have supposed halls of learning go around banning people just because some vigilantes promise to disrupt the peace.  Here is

Warring WAG's And Associated Clickbait Here And Abroad

Image
This is why women DO NOT RUN THE WORLD. First up this Then this Is this what it has come to? Seriously ladies. In the UK we have two WAGs well into their 30’s (so should know better) with husbands well past the prime of their careers (both had about one year of that), who women would not look twice at if they were not well-to-do footballers, scrapping over who sold out secrets to the tabloids.  We don’t care who did what to whom. We are all just LAUGHING AT BOTH OF THEM.  Two very garden variety average grifters. No one clicks on this stuff other than to make us feel better that despite having more money given to them by their partners than most of us will ever earn by  ourselves (and most of us in jobs that don’t include a blow-job), they are all complete idiots. It’s always great to read about stupid people. Rooney especially, seems to be a brilliant detective, you cannot tell me she hasn't known all along who her husband has been shagging, a

There Comes A Time In Every Relationship

Image
Where a woman has to stand up and say no to a man taking a proverbial dump in the bed and expecting her to lie on it.   It says more about a woman if she stays in that relationship at all pretending the male is ok, than kicking the retard to touch passing on his bullshit, lies and promises to another woman so she can be treated with similar disdain. I think Cindy and Shane have finally reached that point of no return. Shane Jones might think his "AR-15" rifle  (if that is what it really is because Asia is notorious for overselling what you are firing) photos posted by Dot his wife and PR advisor do not matter and is "no reflection on his Cabinet position" but it is.  Fine, do what you want on holidays privately but this make no mistake was a public display of "f*** you little woman". It says absolutely everything about his Cabinet position. It shows he has absolutely zero respect for a woman in charge trying to do her best to portray an

Stop Sending Your Kids To University!

Image
What should be concluded from the last few weeks of news media is that University is not the place for some teenagers. There is nothing wrong with this.   There are plenty of other things for 18 year olds to do.  However if they cannot make it into the big world independently yet, for god's sake keep them at home until they can rather than send them off unprepared. If your child is struggling mentally with life before they leave school and go off to University, being an 18 year old especially in a halls of residence living away from home sure as hell is the last place you send them. You might have contracted out parenting for five or seven days a week to boarding school, but University is completely different.  They are not special.  They will not be babysat. Everyone at University is just a cold hard ID number and other than taking your money, there is not enough man-hours for staff to care much who passes and fails.  If your child only "just" mana

Elton Loves Clarke

Image
The answer was in reply to a question from model and actor Cara Delevingne, who asked the award-winning singer/song writer if he could be one woman alive and one woman from the past, who would you be? In an interview with the Guardian – which featured a Q&A section with A-list celebrities – John said Ardern was "one of the few politicians that I respect and love". Followed by  "She was ****ing talented and brilliant, (b) she was beautiful, (c) she had a lot of sex, and (d) she had the most fantastic jewellery," he said. Gosh - look out Clarke, Uncle Elton is coming for you! Comments like this from celebrities are not helping Ardern brush off the part-time Prime Minister jibes and the electorate are fast tiring at her lack of performance back in New Zealand and celebrity attention seeking new liberal luvvies after the enforced absence, put out to pasture  retirement of Hillary Clinton.   The Nobel Prize cut-off time rules meant that she was n

Local Body Elections - Random Impertinent Questions

1. Why is the Auckland centre right so useless? They have lost four local government elections on the trot! What or who are they missing to fix things? 2. The guy who took Labour to one of its biggest ever losses in central government had one of the biggest wins ever for the Auckland Mayoralty - should Bill English should run for Auckland Mayor? 3. Who is tasked with sitting down with the plethora of tired councillors (Christine Fletcher) and failed centre right candidates (Mark Thomas) and telling them not to bother next time? 4. Are the rates rises, congestion fees, petroleum taxes and fee increases coming Auckland’s way a small price to pay for not having John Tamihere in charge? 5. Is Tenby Powell proof that it is possible to get elected if you are rich, cunning, even slightly dashing, ambitious and hard working? 6. Is Andy Foster proof that it is possible to get elected if you have a well funded campaign, a useless incumbent and promises to fix issues that res
