Jodi McKay Exits In A Blubberfest of Disgrace
After a completely unbelievable run of utter hopelessness, NSW Labor Leader Jodi McKay proved to be a completely weak mealy-mouthed disgrace of a woman by blubbing right through her exit presser.
Women have a hard time as it is in politics (or business) but to blub publicly over losing just a job, is beyond the pale. It sets back the gender years and makes men (and other women) think twice then three times about elevating another woman into slots in politics (or business) that require toughness and accountability.
Take a cup of concrete FFS. You were in charge of fighting a by-election where the previous member had to resign as he is alleged to have raped a hooker. That is right did I mention, raping a hooker.
McKay earlier in the week dropped this clanger, admitting she was not as popular as her opponent, then refusing to admit the only currency in politics that matters - popularity, was important.
Ms McKay admitted she knew she was "not as popular as (Premier) Gladys Berejiklian", but added, "for me, popularity is not what is important".
The absolute failure by her to understand politics continued right to the bitter end.
At her Friday press conference, she said she would “win that ballot” if a challenge had been made against her.
“If a ballot was held today I can tell you I would win that ballot,” she told reporters.
Jodi McKay couldn't currently win a local Surf Club raffle in Sydney if she bought all the tickets.
She then topped the blubfest calling for party unity when a staffer in her office had circulated the shortcomings of the man likely to replace her!
Gladys Berejiklian really did put the kiss off of death into proceedings earlier in the week claiming to feel sorry for McKay.
Earlier this week, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian - who has maintained her popularity according to polling, despite a slew of scandals - said she felt “sorry” for McKay.
Brutal.
When the new Labor leader properly rinses her, Gladys should offer her a job as a contact tracer.
McKay will then be kept busy until Covid is over, hunting all over NSW for her dignity.
