An Ode To The Best Leader New Zealand Never Had - Gladys Berejiklian

Image
No Gladys no. This is the woman who imposed the "zero covid is impossible" reality on New Zealand and Australia.  History will judge her very well.  She made two entire countries face quickly that living with Covid is a necessity. She is indirectly responsible right now for Auckland forcing Jacinda Ardern to face reality and live with the virus.  She has an opening plan which will ensure on October 11th that NSW can open and get on with it.  While New Zealand, Victoria and WA remain in a constant state of digging a whole for themselves and filling it in. Today GB did the honourable thing which was to resign. I loved that she didn’t drag everyone in her extended family and friends on stage to do it. She fronted it like a man should. On their own.  That was superb. There is nothing worse than lining your whole family, friends and colleagues up to the firing squad. A quick read statement and exit. FU. Off to punch the toilet wall or as I have done in similar circum...

Jodi McKay Exits In A Blubberfest of Disgrace

Image
After a completely unbelievable run of utter hopelessness, NSW Labor Leader Jodi McKay proved to be a completely weak mealy-mouthed disgrace of a woman by blubbing right through her exit presser.   Women have a hard time as it is in politics (or business) but to blub publicly over losing just a job, is beyond the pale.  It sets back the gender years and makes men (and other women) think twice then three times about elevating another woman into slots in politics (or business) that require toughness and accountability. Take a cup of concrete FFS.  You were in charge of fighting a by-election where the previous member had to resign as he is alleged to have raped a hooker.   That is right did I mention, raping a hooker.    McKay earlier in the week dropped this clanger, admitting she was not as popular as her opponent, then refusing to admit the only currency in politics that matters - popularity, was important. Ms McKay admitted she knew she was "not as popula...

Forget He Puapua - Your Aotearoa Is About To Be Governed By NSW

Image
Forget He Puapua for a moment, the first real loss of sovereignty for "Aotearoa" New Zealand will not be to radical Maori extremists parading under the guise of academia, it will be its cornerstone Covid strategy currently governing the Nation. In one weekend Gladys Berejiklian displayed why her polar opposite Jacinda Ardern did not wish to cede sovereignty to Australia until the very very last minute as has happened in the “transtasman bubble”.  It is also why her political opponents have pressed so hard for the bubble to be opened.  New Zealand will be governed primarily by more sensible strategy. Gladys and Jacinda only have one thing in common.   They find men below their league dangerously attractive. Gladys is an understated woman of substance. Jacinda is an overhyped woman of style over substance. I wouldn’t say Gladys is particularly right wing. I would deem her a mild centrist on the political spectrum.  She is for example no Ruth Richardson. Gladys s...

You **** One Goat - Gladys Berejiklian's (Near) Fatal Attraction

Image
Poor Gladys is having a shocker of a week. The largest surprise reported out of Australia has been that she was shagging at all.  Widely known as a bit of a nerdy square, then out comes the revelation she has been slipping an entire affair in with a (sort of) married man who barely scraped in to the Northern Football League compared to her achievements and intellect.  Daryl.  I mean a name like that the bells should have been ringing. Pre-Covid in March 2020, Gladys was interviewed and let out in retrospect some real clangers. Ms Berejiklian, the eldest of three sisters, has long fielded curious questions, particularly from other women, about her personal life.  As she puts it, life just had other plans for her. "I think if an opportunity comes up you grab it. If something happens and you need to make a decision, make it. Had I met the right person? Of course I would be married. But that doesn't happen for everyone at the right time," told Mamamia. "I've always ...
